A crown belonging to the statue of Goddess Kali at the Jeshoreshwari Temple in Satkhira, Bangladesh, has been reported stolen. This crown, which was a gift from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is made of silver and coated with gold. It went missing on Thursday afternoon, not long after the temple priest finished the day’s worship. Later, the cleaning staff noticed that the crown was no longer on the statue’s head, as reported by the Bangladeshi newspaper The Daily Star. Prime Minister Modi had given this crown to the temple in March 2021 during his visit to Bangladesh.
